On today’s episode, I’m answering the question: are multivitamins good or bad for you, and if you really need to take them.
So my friends at GNC sent me a month’s supply of their Mega Men Sport Multivitamin.
They also asked me to do a video review on it to let my viewers know what I think of their multivitamin.
Since I just received the multivitamins and haven’t had the chance to try them yet, I don’t yet have anything to say about them yet.
However, I wanted to quickly talk about multivitamins and answer the question:
I talk a lot about multivitamins in my book, Awaken The Abs Within.
What I specifically talk about is if you’re eating enough vegetables, fruit, and are taking a high quality greens powder, you may not need a multivitamin.
But let’s be honest, how many of you are actually eating enough of these vitamin and mineral rich foods?
Ask yourself this.
Based on your current diet, do you really believe your vitamin and mineral intake levels are maxed out?
I’d be willing to bet 96.34% of you are not getting enough vitamin and minerals from your everyday diet.
If that’s true, that’s when a high quality multivitamin supplement can be beneficial for you.
Multivitamins, like all supplements, are meant to supplement your current diet.
They’re not to be used as a free ticket to never eat a salad again.
Fruits and vegetables contain the real, natural, and highly absorbable sources of vitamins and minerals that you need.
Multivitamins contain synthetic sources of vitamins and minerals.
This means they are not as absorbable nor are they as good as the real thing.
Remember, multivitamins are meant to top off your vitamin and mineral levels if you’re not getting quite enough in your daily diet.
I’m going to be adding these GNC Mega Men Sport multivitamins into my diet over the next four weeks then I’ll create a new post to let you know of any changes I see and my overall thoughts.
I’m also interested to find out if you’ve tried the GNC Mega Men Sport multivitamin, or the female
version, and what you thought of it.
Did you notice any difference?
Also what current multivitamin are you taking right now and have you noticed any differences?
I’m very interested in hearing from you, so let me know in the comment section below.
Don’t forget to check back in a few weeks to learn what I think about the GNC Mega Men Multivitamin after I finish taking it.
Talk soon.
