On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, we’re answering a viewer question who asked, how do you stop stressing about balancing health and a social life as a 15 year old.
Today’s viewer question is from #AskLiveLeanTV Ep. 022.
Here’s today’s viewer question:
@Karlagaytan42 from Twitter asks:
Being 15, I find it difficult to find the balance between health and social. How do I stop stressing?
Brad: Oh that’s so tough because I wasn’t stressing over health when I was 15.
I was just being active by playing sports.
I wasn’t going to the gym to lift weights and I wasn’t on a diet.
I mean, I wish I kind of was thinking back at it.
Jess: Yeah, you could have eaten healthier.
Brad: Actually, I don’t know if I would’ve wished I was more focused on health, because I really enjoyed living the “young lifestyle”.
I wouldn’t want to take that away from anybody.
Jess: Yeah, you enjoyed your youth.
Brad: My advice would be, don’t try to be a perfectionist at 15.
Just live your life.
Remember, you’re a kid.
However, when I say that, I know you’re still young, and you won’t get it until you get to our “old age”. 😂
👴: “I remember when I was that age”.
However, trust me.
Jessica and I were talking about this last night when we went on a date.
We’re were talking about when we were in our 20s and we were partying in college.
Looking back at it now, I would never take that back, because that’s just one phase of life.
Jess: We don’t miss those days, because we’re over it, and would never want to do it again.
However, you need to go through it and then put it behind you at a certain point.
I don’t think there’s any age that’s too early to start eating healthy, working out, and caring about your health and fitness.
At 15, it doesn’t even have to be working out.
You could just be playing sports.
That could be good enough for you.
Brad: That’s what I’m saying.
Jess: I would say forget about dieting and working out right now, and just focus on eating healthy, playing sports, and being active.
Then when you get into your 20s and 30s, that’s when you can actually become more diligent when it comes to working out, because it’s more of an adult thing to do.
Enjoy your youth while you have it, because we’re telling you, it goes fast.
Brad: Yes, it’s not worth the stress.
Jess: Yes, don’t stress.
Brad: You’re still so young, and have so much a head of you, so don’t even worry about it.
Jess: Hang out with your friends and eat some junk food.
It’s all going to be ok.
Jess: Yes, it definitely will make you feel cleaner inside, so you can try it if you want.
