On today’s vlog episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing a day in the life in San Diego, including my swim sprints workout, as well as golfing at Balboa Park Golf Course.
In Live Lean Life Vlog Ep. 021 I share:
To start the vlog, I was at my condo’s swimming pool for a swim sprint workout.
Since this pool is little bigger than the swimming pool we had at our Los Angeles condo, I’m still trying to figure out how many laps I should be completing within 15 minutes.
To be an all around athlete, in addition to running the stairs or running at the track, you also have to know how to swim too.
Even though swimming used to be a weakness of mine, I’ve started following in love with it.
I told myself, there is only one way to get better or something, just do it.
Now that I’ve been back at it again, I’ve really been enjoying it.
When it comes to your fitness journey, it’s important to keep keep things changing.
I obviously still have a lot of room to improve my swimming.
In particular, I’m still trying to figure out how to do the tumble turn, also known as the flip turn.
This is when you complete an under water somersault, then kick off the wall to turn directions when you reach the end of the swimming pool.
If you are a swimmer, let me know in the comments, how far should you be from the wall before you begin the tumble turn?
Since I did not want to do a swim sprint workout today, after I finished it, it was time to reward myself with a little soak in the hot tub.
During your fitness journey, it’s important to reward yourself once you accomplish something you didn’t want to do.
Whatever brings you joy in your life, do it to reward yourself:
Remember, you are on a fitness journey, so make sure you are enjoying it along the way.
I decided to share my recent healthy snacks online order from Thrive Market.
Thrive Market is where I like to get a lot of our healthy snack foods since it is delivered right to our door.
When you have young kids, it can be a little bit more difficult going out for groceries.
Here are all the healthy paleo snacks I ordered from Thrive Market:
That was my order.
By ordering this at Thrive Market I saved between 25-50% off, compared to if you bought this order at the grocery store.
It’s a great deal.
When I joined, Thrive Market hooked me up with a free of jar of coconut oil.
They have a new $60 free gift offer, as well as providing savings of 25-50% off health foods, once you sign up at Thrive Market.
You order will be delivered right to your door, as well.
Click here to get the $60 free gift offer and membership to Thrive Market.
Now you can eat the same healthy snacks that Jessica and I eat.
Time to go golfing at Balboa Park Golf Course in San Diego with my father-in-law.
The weather was a little overcast and windy.
I haven’t been golfing in a while, so I was a little bit nervous while I was loosening up.
Fortunately, I made it off the first tee by pumping my drive approximately 270 yards, however it rolled off the fairway into the sand.
For my second shot I knocked it out of the sand and onto the green.
After birding the second hole, I was 1-under after two.
Let’s go baby, my game is on point!
Time to keep this train rolling.
I’ve been golfing since I was a kid.
I grew up on a golf course, my first job was working at a golf course, and I was also on the high school golf team.
However for the last three years, I haven’t played any golf at all.
Based on this, my round has been going pretty good, besides having one bad hole on the front nine, and one bad hole on the back nine.
There is nothing better than being on the golf course with a good group of guys.
The combination of the camaraderie with the people in the group, the exercise from walking, and the skill of the game, equals good times.
When I’m golfing, I love walking rather than driving in the golf cart.
My shot of the day was a 300 yard drive on a 308 yard par 4.
Even though I was only 8 yards away from the green, I had bad chip shot to the pin, thus I had to settle for a par.
This was after a good par saving putt.
As the saying goes, drive for show, putt for dough.
I was very happy after shooting a 42 on the front nine.
I had a good start on the back nine, as I pumped out my drive off the 10th tee.
Let’s hope for a strong finish.
Hole 13 was a 105 yard par 3.
I really wanted a hole in one, but had to settle for a greenie.
That’s it, we’re done.
I was almost the only guy in our group to survive the whole round.
We had one guy take off before finishing the 18th hole and another guy didn’t even play the 18th.
However, my father-in-law and I finished it off.
He was almost going to quit, but he eventually decided to finish it out.
I had a 42 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine for a 18 hole total score of 87.
I’m happy with that score.
Big shout and thank you to every single one of you who picked up the Live Lean 20 Diet Program.
After sending out the email about it, the amount of traffic actually crashed the website.
I’ve also received a lot of tweets and emails saying the page was down.
Unfortunately, website crashes happen.
Thankfully before the site went down a lot of you had already joined and the Live Lean 20 Diet program.
Plus, the good news is the site is back up, so click here to get in and get the program.
People are loving all the recipes including the cereal, pancake, pasta, and the burger recipes.
These are all traditional foods that people eat every day.
However, inside the program we have “healthified” and “Live Lean-a-fide” these recipes using just 20 ingredients, for every single recipe in the program.
This is my favorite Live Lean nutrition program yet, and from the looks of all the people who bought it, they would agree.
If you haven’t got it yet, hopefully you will get it and use it to change your body and life.
