On today’s motivational episode, I want to talk about why failing is so important during your Live Lean journey.
Let me start by throwing out a few names:
What do all these people have in common?
You may be thinking, well, they’re all hugely successful and they have a lot of money.
True, but what many people don’t realize, is this.
Each of these people failed many times before they succeeded.
Before they hit it big, they took a lot of risks, they got out of their comfort zone, and they failed a lot.
However the difference is, they didn’t allow their past failures to stop them from going after what they wanted.
They kept learning from their mistakes, and used it as fuel, to grow into the successful person they are today.
It said that:
If you’re not failing at 50% of your goals, you’re not truly expanding or growing as a human being.
The reason for this is simple.
If you don’t set large enough goals, you’ll never fail.
In other words, you’re not stretching yourself, or growing into the person you have the potential to be.
Are you setting goals, that are so low, that you can achieve them without even getting off the couch?
Or are you setting goals that make you get outside of your comfort zone and stretch you to achieve them.
Fail fast and fail often.
It may sound like crazy advice, but it’s a part of the road to a successful journey.
So think about how you’re setting your goals and how you’re currently living your life.
Are you consistently getting outside of your comfort zone, or are you complacent, and playing it safe.
Trust the journey.
Embrace failure as it’s the pathway to success.
