On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing the healthiest foods at Chipotle and the worst.

So far on our journey to find you the healthiest options, when you need to eat on the go, we’ve covered the following fast food restaurants:
In this fast food edition of Food Wars, I’m am sharing the healthiest and worst menu items at Chipotle.
First thing I look at when I analyze a fast food restaurant’s website is how transparent and easy to read the nutrition section is.
So let me first give Chipotle a shout out for having an excellent website to showcase the nutrition of their food.
Chipotle’s website is easy to follow and is filled with information showing the ingredients, and the calories and macronutrients of each food.
Good job.
Then we look at the ingredients that make up the food, and then finally the calorie, sodium, and macronutrient make up (fat, carbs, and protein).
How did you think Chipotle did?
Lets start with the best.
Here’s what I want you to focus on ordering at Chipotle.
I want you to get the chicken salad, with romaine lettuce, fajita vegetables, tomatillo green-chili salsa, and guacamole.
The guacamole at Chipotle is really good since it’s made with all fresh ingredients, and it’s a great source of healthy fat.
When it comes to the drinks, stay away from the soda and fruit juices and stick with water.
Even though 58% of the calories from fat may seem high, remember it’s primarily the healthy fats from the avocados in the guacamole, which is a great source of the monounsaturated fat.
This is a decent meal at 450 calories, with the majority of those calories coming from healthy fat and protein, so it should fill you up.
When most people think of a vinaigrette, they probably think it is a healthy low calorie salad dressing.
If you’re looking for a lower calorie chipotle meal, you don’t even need a salad dressing when you add the guacamole and salsa.
Now lets get to the bad guys.
Here’s the worst foods at Chipotle that I want you to avoid.
Those 2,595 calories are close to 5-6 times as many calories as the chicken salad that I just shared.
So there you have it.
Stay away from the flour tortilla burritos and stick with the chicken salad with romaine lettuce, fajita vegetables, tomatillo green-chili salsa, and the guacamole.
That’s another healthy fast food alternative.
Thumbs up once again to the Chipotle website as they do share quite a bit of nutrition information.

Great video! I love to pack as many healthy options as I can when I travel! I don’t have a go to healthy restaurant but anywhere I can get lean protein and some sort of veggie is okay in my book!
