On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing the 3 keys to get a good workout in 30 minutes or less.
A few days ago on my Facebook Page, I posted the following:
Working out is important, but can we please realize, to Live Lean, it does not require you to live in the gym.
It’s true.
You’re busy and you don’t want to spend hours in the gym.
I get it.
Therefore, I’m pumped to fill you in on this secret.
The good thing is, to get fit, you do not have to live in the gym.
In fact, you can still get fit and sexy in 30 minutes or less, of workout time.
However to do this, there are 3 key caveats you must follow.
The effort portion is pretty straight forward.
If you want to change your physique, and you only have 30 minutes or less, you must give it your all.
You may be able to get away with this if you spread your workout over 90 minutes.
However, since you only have â…“ of the time, you have to go beast mode.
This means doing more work in less time.
For instance, a typical 60 minute workout is usually comprised of 40 seconds of work, followed by a 60 second rest period.
That means you’re resting for 50% more time, than you’re actually exercising.
Since you only have 30 minutes, this work to rest ratio is not going to get you fit and sexy.
During your 30 minute workout, you must increase your effort by:
Research shows this 30 minute HIIT interval style will keep your heart rate elevated, and closer to your maximum heart rate, for a longer period of time.
Thus, you’ll be burning more calories and sizzling off your body fat.
As soon as your 30 minute workout begins, you should already know exactly what exercises you’re going to do.
This means you should have your:
No more looking like that dude who is lost in the gym.
You don’t have time to be lost, you only have 30 minutes.
Have a workout plan and stick to it.
Since you are only working out for 30 minutes, you will be at a slight disadvantage with your calorie burn versus someone who spends hours in the gym every day.
Based on this, you will need to pay a little more attention to the foods you feed your mouth.
This is why a lot of professional athletes can eat like crap, and still look pretty decent.
It’s because these athletes are training so many hours in a day.
I’m not saying your diet needs to be perfect, especially since your metabolism will be on fire from those 30 minutes of maximum effort workouts.
All I’m saying is, the more hours you workout, the more flexible you can be with your diet, and still get decent results.
Make sure you focus the majority of your foods on:
Plus, stick to just one cheat meal a week.
These one ingredient whole foods will fuel your workouts and are the secret sauce to faster results.
There you have it Live Lean Nation.
Those were the 3 keys to get a good workout in 30 minutes or less.
