On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing a green juice recipe, which I also call, the drink to help cure your hangover.
Welcome to the morning after.
Yes, this morning I experienced the dreaded side effects of excessive alcohol consumption, the hangover.
This weekend I had a few drinks of Grey Goose and lemon water with my buddies, hit the clubs, and acted like I was 19 years old again.
Oh the good old days.

Sure it felt good to be back on the scene, but since I don’t do drink like this very often, my body gets really annoyed with me when I do.
The conversation between my body and brain would go something like this:
Body: “You [bleep]. Who do you think you are putting those toxins into MY body?”
Brain: “I run the show here body. Know your role, stop talking, and just sit there and look good.”
Body: “My role? I’ll show you my role you ungrateful [bleep]. How’s a headache sound? Oh, and how about a queasy stomach. And oh yeah, a major case of the lazys. Consider it done.”
And they would continue to fight for about another 5 hours or so.
So here I am the next morning, keeping it real.
But what if I told you there was a cure to your hangover?
In other words, what do you do the next day to help cure your hangover?
Sure I’m feeling tired and very depleted of water.

So on this edition of Brad’s Cookbook, I’m sharing how I recover the day after drinking, with this green juice recipe.
This is the drink to help cure your hangover and help you recover faster.
When you drink alcohol, not only do you dehydrate your body, you also deplete your body of vitamins and minerals.
Therefore, not only is it important to drink lots of water, it’s also very important to eat vitamin and mineral rich foods.
A green juice is an easy way to quickly get a lot of those vitamins and minerals into your body, to help speed up the recovery process.
This green juice recipe will help refill your body with all those vitamins and minerals that were depleted from drinking too much alcohol.
We’re going to throw 5 healthy ingredients into a blender to make a SPARK green juice.
This green juice recipe came from my good friend Bex at bexlife.com.
Recipe note: I usually use fresh spinach, however today, I’m going to experiment with using frozen spinach, to see if it creates more of a cold smoothie type feel to the green drink recipe.
Along with this SPARK green juice, I also like to drink lemon water throughout the day and a combination of these 26 best hangover foods.
So with that said, let’s get juicing.

Here is the green juice.
Now it’s time to check out the main event and give this green juice a taste.
I realize it may not look the most appetizing, but what’s more important than that, is the benefit it will have for your body.
Although I’m not going to give the taste of this green juice the typical, damn that’s good rating, but it is drinkable.
The sugars from the pineapple and apple, help overpower the green grassy taste from the kale, romaine lettuce, and spinach.
This is your green juice drink for the morning after your late night of partying.
Get this into your body and be sure to also drink a lot of water to help replenish and rehydrate.
A good, sweaty hangover detox workout could also be just what you need.
But, I get it.
Nobody enjoys working out when they’re hungover.
But remember, just because you are hungover after a night of drinking, it doesn’t give you a free pass to skip your workout the next day.

This was me the morning after a night out on the town.
I’m not perfect.
In fact, nobody is perfect.
And that’s what I wanted to prove in today’s post.
Just because you had too much to drink, it’s only one night.

After my 21st birthday I went to a seven hour dance rehearsal. Working out didn’t seem to do the trick that day. 😉 This might have though!
I ALWAYS feel better after working out if I’m hungover. I’m sure I don’t look it, but I feel like a normal person again. haha
haha – agree. the first few mins I just felt like curling up in the massage chairs…BUT after you get going…you’re back to beast mode!
I laugh I stopped drinking about 20 years ago because a guy I was dating didnt drink—-and I never remembered to restart 🙂
