On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m showing you how to cook vegetables and make them taste delicious.
Lets keep it real.
99.435% of people need to eat more vegetables. #science
Most people say they don’t like the taste of vegetables.
Other people say vegetables take too long to prepare.
Well if you’ve caught yourself saying this, today’s 3 quick, healthy, easy, and delicious vegetable side dish recipes, are made for you.
Now I admit, I also have my days where my vegetable consumption is low.
But more often than not, I’m usually exceeding my vegetable quota of 10-12 servings a day.
And yes, I’m talking about 10-12 servings of vegetables, not including fruit.
But I also enjoy 2-3 servings of fruit per day too.
Each recipe uses all natural and flavorful spices, instead of fattening sauces, to make vegetables taste delicious.
This is going to be good.
If you’re struggling to hit your vegetable quota for the day, check out these 3 quick and delicious vegetable side dish recipes.

While the baked zucchini fries are in the oven, move on to the Rosemary and Basil Infused Green Beans Mixture recipe.
Besides eating most vegetables raw, one of the healthiest ways to retain the nutrients in the vegetables, is by steaming them, rather than cooking them over high heat in a frying pan.
You’ll not only love the taste, but the aromas coming off of steamed vegetables is amazing as well.
When possible, eat most of your vegetables steamed or raw.

There you go.
We just prepared 3 different side dishes of healthy, vitamin and mineral enriched, green vegetables.
First, we had our rosemary and basil infused green bean mixture.
We then had our baked zucchini fries with cumin and oregano.
Then finally, our lemon pepper broccoli.
Let’s get to my favorite part, and give these bad boys a taste, to see if they pass the test.
We’ll start by tasting the rosemary and basil infused green bean mixture.
Let’s see if they are packed full of flavor.
Yes, the flavor that we’ve added to this recipe, hits the spot.
I prefer not to over steam the green beans, because I personally like my green beans to be crunchy.
So for me, 7 minutes was the perfect time to steam them.
Let’s move on to our baked zucchini fries.
Oh yeah, love the cumin flavor on those fries.
But the updated baked zucchini fries recipe, shown above, is even more delicious.
Make sure you give this baked zucchini fries recipe a try.
Finally, our lemon pepper broccoli recipe.
This was an easy way to prepare broccoli, especially since most of us need more broccoli in our diet.
Let’s see how this lemon pepper broccoli tastes.
Wow.
If you don’t like the taste of broccoli, do yourself a favor and steam it for 5 minutes, then add some lemon juice and black pepper.
Damn that’s good!
And trust me, I’m not just saying that, because I wouldn’t do that to you.
This lemon pepper broccoli recipe is definitely my favorite of these 3 vegetable recipes.
Those were 3 healthy green vegetable recipes that anyone can prepare.
This video idea was a viewer request, so hopefully you enjoyed these three recipes.
Implement them into your weekly meal plan and enjoy.

I’m gong to make my 8 month old baby watch this. She doesn’t like green beans and peas. By doesn’t like I mean, she gets the “no more” face half way through. But as soon as we break out the pears, she is all about them. LOL.
Thanks for the info!
Oh the joys of parent hood!
lemon juice and broccoli is one of my FAVORITE combinations.
