How To Do A Dumbbell Reverse Woodchopper Exercise Video Demonstration and Guide

The Dumbbell Reverse Woodchopper is a functional abs exercise that targets your obliques.

To get started:

  1. With a stance just outside shoulder width, hold a dumbbell with both hands, with arms extended on the outside of your thigh.
  2. Contract your abs, then under control, twist your torso and pivot your foot on the same side as the dumbbell, to swing the dumbbell up and across your body towards the top of opposite shoulder.
  3. Reverse the movement and repeat your reps on that side.
  4. Switch sides and repeat.
