How To Do The Lying Lower Back Stretch Correctly

The Lying Lower Back Stretch is a simple static stretch to help loosen up the lower back.

To get started:

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent, feet planted into the floor, with your arms extended at your sides.
  2. Bring your knees towards your chest and place your hands just behind your knees.
  3. Keeping your back flat on the floor throughout the stretch, pull your knees towards your chest and hold for 3 seconds.
  4. Slowly lower your feet back to the ground and repeat.
