How To Do A Standing Medicine Ball Russian Twist Exercise Demonstration Video and Guide

The Standing Medicine Ball Russian Twist is a good rotational exercise to target the oblique muscles, as well as your lower back and overall core.

To get started:

  1. With your feet shoulder width apart, hold a medicine ball with both hands, and extend your arms straight out in front of your chest, so they are parallel to the floor.
  2. Keeping your arms extended, rotate your torso to one side as far as you can, while pivoting the opposite foot with your heel off the floor, and the pressure on the ball of your foot.
  3. Reverse the movement to the other side.
  4. That’s one rep.
  5. Repeat.
