The Neutral Grip Standing Dumbbell Shoulder Press is a great exercise to build overall strength in the shoulders.

By using a palms facing in, neutral grip, it can be easier on the shoulder joints.

To get started:

  1. While standing with your knees slightly bent, hold a pair of dumbbells with a palms facing in, neutral grip, just above your shoulders.
  2. Contract your core, and squeeze your glutes to maintain a strong flat back while you fully extend both of your arms to press the dumbbells overhead.
  3. Under control, slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
