How To Do A Standing Face Away Single Arm Bayesian Cable Curl Correctly

The Standing Face Away Single Arm Bayesian Cable Curl, also known as the behind the back single arm cable curl, is an excellent isolation exercise targeting the biceps.

By keeping the elbow behind your body, it helps build the peak of the biceps.

To get started:

  1. With your back facing the cable machine, grab a d handle from the low pulley cable with one of your hands.
  2. Take a step away from the cable machine.
  3. The hand holding the handle should be positioned a few inches behind you with your arm fully extended.
  4. Your arm should be locked into this position with only the curling movement coming at the elbow joint.
  5. Contract your bicep to curl the weight until the handle comes close to or reaches your chest.
  6. Your upper arm and body should not be twisting as you curl.
  7. Once again, the only movement comes at the elbow joint.
  8. Under control, slowly reverse the movement to lower your arm and repeat.
  9. Switch arms and repeat.
