How To Do A Wide Grip Push Up Exercise Video Demonstration And Guide

The wide grip push up is a variation of the traditional push up that primarily targets your chest, however since the grip is wider, it also pulls in more shoulders.

To get started:

  1. Get in a traditional push up position, but rather than having your hands directly below your shoulders, move them outside shoulder width.
  2. To lower into the push up, bend your elbows, and lower your chest towards the ground, until your upper arms are parallel to the ground.
  3. Press your hands through the ground to rise back to the starting position.
  4. Repeat.
