How To Do The Cobra Pose Correctly

The Cobra Pose is an excellent isometric exercise to strengthen your back and all your spine supporting core muscles.

To get started:

  1. Lie facedown on the floor with your elbows bent and tucked to your sides with your hands pressed into the floor, directly below your shoulders.
  2. Inhale and press your hands through the floor to lift your upper torso up, while pulling your shoulders down, while keeping your lower body on the floor.
  3. Hold for up to 5 breaths, then exhale as you lower your torso back down and touch the floor with your forehead.
  4. Complete for reps.
