The Red Alerts Of Gaining Weight: Motivational Minute Ep. 010

On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing the importance of knowing how to recognize and respond to weight gain before it’s too late.

This is episode 010 from my Motivational Minute video series.

To Live Lean, you need to face the fact that what you see in the mirror, was created by your actions or inactions.

You made poor food decisions, so now you’re eating food filled with not only empty calories, but calories that actually make you hungrier.

That’s an action.

When I say inactions, I’m referring to your unwillingness to take the necessary actions to get to where you want to be.

You didn’t get that gym membership or buy that home training video program, so you don’t get enough activity in your life to burn off those excess calories.

The Result Is More Weight Gain

Rather than looking in the mirror and seeing yourself as a victim, change your mindset to realize that you are in control, and you’re at this point in your journey because you let it happen.

How I Changed My "Bad Luck" By Developing A Mindset For Success

You didn’t just wake up one morning with 50 lbs of extra body fat.

Be honest with yourself.

You received plenty of weight gain red flags along the ways:

  • Your pants were getting a little tight
  • You felt the extra layer hanging over your belt buckle
  • You get out of breath by just walking up a few flights of stairs

The writing was on the wall along the way of you gaining those 50 lbs, but you didn’t change your behaviors in time to stop them, because taking action, let’s be honest, would have taken you outside of your comfort zone.

It’s uncomfortable to be the new person in the gym.

It’s uncomfortable for the first few weeks of cutting back on sugar and eating healthier foods.

Rather than face these uncomfortable actions, you ignored the red flags and decided to continue with the status quo, and continue with your poor behaviors, thus the body fat compounds and piles on.

Successful People Recognize The Red Flags Before It’s Too Late

The difference is successful people recognize these red flags before it’s too late.

For example when the first 5 to 10 pounds of body fat accumulates, they immediately took action and changed their habits to create their desired result, before letting it get out of control.

Trust me.

We hear from so many of you that have successfully lost 100 pounds, but you were then devastated to see after all that hard work, you’re left with loose skin and stretch marks.

So I beg you.

Take responsibility now, avoid the victim speak, and be aware of the red flags of fat gain, so you can respond with action before it gets out of control.

I’m telling you, transforming your body is one of the most empowering actions that you can do that also transfers over and empowers you in all areas of your life.

It’s happened to me and it will happen to you.

It’s time to go take action.

You got this.
