On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing the best type of low impact cardio for painful joints.
By now, you probably know that I’m always challenging you to get outside of your comfort zone.
This is key to making continuous improvements to your overall health.
So when it comes to fitness, how do I get outside of my comfort zone?
Well, this specific type of low impact workout does just that.
When I say “low impact”, I simply mean it’s easier on your joints.
I’m referring to water cardio in the swimming pool.
Although I feel safe in the water, my body is just not used to working out in it.
A few weeks ago, I shared a swimming pool workout for weight loss, that was a different type of training stimulus, than what I’m used too.
In other words, it definitely exposed my weaknesses and made me feel the burn.
If you are suffering from sore joints, I’m challenging you to jump into the pool.
Swimming, or any form of water cardio, can be the best type of low impact cardio to add to your workout routine.
The reason is simple.
Swimming gives your joints a rest.
This is especially important if you’re consistently performing higher impact forms of cardio, such as HIIT cardio.
Most types of training in the water are lower impact, as your joints are not under as much pressure when compared to sprinting on a treadmill.
Since my workouts include resistance training and HIIT every week, this impacts every joint in my body.
Even if you don’t have painful joints, you should still be taking advantage of occasionally doing your cardio in the swimming pool.
Swimming is great for increasing your heart rate, improving your endurance, and ultimately losing weight.
If you’re looking for the best type of low impact cardio for painful joints, start doing more cardio in the water.
Adding cardio workouts in the swimming pool is just another great way to change up your workout routine, while giving your joints a rest.
Even if you don’t like the water, it’s time to get outside your comfort zone.
This will help change things up, keep you progressing forward, while breaking through any plateaus you may be facing.
This is why I’m doing more water cardio workouts.
It’s one of my goals to improve my fitness level in all aspects of fitness.
It’s also another way that I can push myself outside my comfort zone.
