How To Do A Shoulder Press Push Up Exercise Video Demonstration And Guide

The shoulder press push up is a great push up modification to target the shoulders and triceps.

To get started:

  1. Put both your feet on a bench, place your hands just outside of shoulder width on the ground, then walk your hands 2 feet away from the bench.
  2. Straighten your arms and legs, and raise your hips up into the air, so your body forms an upside down “L”.
  3. Slowly lower your head to the ground by bending your elbows.
  4. Pause, then push your hands through the ground to contract your shoulders and triceps, to move back to the starting position.
