Shake it up and get out of your comfort zone

On today’s episode, I’m sharing a quick post on why it’s important to get out of your comfort zone.

Even though this may not specifically be about fitness or nutrition (although it can be), I hope it can help you in all areas of your life.

Let me share a quick story.

I attended a big conference in Washington, D.C. with a lot of other entrepreneurs.

While I was on the flight to the event, I was thinking of ways to make a splash and get recognized.

In other words:

How can I stand out and set myself apart from everyone else?

Well, I quickly realized you’re not going to stand out by sitting in the back row, with your head down, and not talking to anyone.

If your goal is to stand out, the idea is not to just show up and put in the time

It all comes down to figuring out ways to get out of your comfort zone.

While I was there, I did everything I could to get out of my comfort zone, and it paid off.

I made some really good connections.

In fact, I got up on the stage, sat in the “hot seat”, and had my business grilled in front of everyone by a panel of experts.

Think Shark Tank.

This was an amazing experience as it definitely helped me grow as a person and an entrepreneur.

Get out of your comfort zone

The point of this post, is to motivate you to do something every day, that makes you get out of your comfort zone.

At the time, it’ll make you feel super uncomfortable, but when you do put yourself out, it’ll make you a stronger person.

Stand Out: Motivation To Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Yes, it can be embarrassing to put your feelings out there, or share tough things that you are going through.

But there are many other people out there, who are probably going through the same things as you.

And when you reveal your biggest insecurities and vulnerabilities, it’s just such a breath of fresh air for other people to relate to you.

It takes a big person to be vulnerable, but if it can serve and help other people overcome their issues, it’s worth it.

So just think about that.

You don’t necessarily have to put it in video format like I do, but maybe you could share it as a Facebook or Instagram post.

When you get out of your comfort zone, and just put it out there, it usually comes back to you in many positive ways.

So that’s something that has been on my mind.

It worked for me, and I’m sure it’ll work for you.

Break the comfort zone, share your insecurities, and grow.
