How To Do A Standing Single Arm Cable Diagonal Raise Correctly

The Standing Single Arm Cable Diagonal Raise is a great exercise to hit the shoulders from a different angle.

To get started:

  1. With a handle attached to a low cable pulley machine, stand to the side of the pulley and grab the handle across your body, with the hand furthest from the pulley.
  2. Hold the handle in front of your opposite thigh with your elbow slightly bent.
  3. Keeping your torso upright and locked down, pull the handle diagonally up and across your body with your palms facing forward at the top of the movement.
  4. Under control, reverse the movement back to the starting position with your palm facing your hip and repeat.
  5. Once you’ve completed the reps, switch arms and repeat.
