Create And Schedule Your Perfect Day

On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing why structured success is the key to staying committed to your fitness goals as a busy parent.

I just got to the track but before I head out for my sprint workout, I wanted to talk to you about something I’ve been reading about.

I read about this in a book called “The School Of Greatness” from Lewis Howes.

Lewis talks about how to set up your perfect day.

Over the last couple of vlogs, I’ve been sharing motivational and inspirational talks with you at the end of the vlogs.

Based on the comments, you seem to be liking it, therefore I’ll keep doing more of them.

How To Set Up Your Perfect Day

While you are on your Live Lean journey, I believe it is so important to set up your perfect day.

What your day looks like from the moment you wake up in the morning to the moment you go to sleep at night?

My Healthy Morning Routine Before I Workout

What you are doing between those times.

Lewis recommends you start scheduling tasks into your day that take you closer to your vision.

When you have something scheduled, you are more likely to do it, then if you’re just go on a whim from email to email, meeting to meeting, or whatever it may be.

This is something I’m going to start doing.

I wake up at 5:00 am and go to bed around 10pm at night.

Therefore, within those waking hours, I need to set up certain schedules so I know exactly what I’m doing at 6:00 am, 7:00 am, 8:00 am, etc.

Before you shake your head and say, ‘I can’t do that because it’s way too structured”.

Remember, you do not need to be perfect and every day does not need to look exactly the same.

This is just a framework to work with.

Think About The Following Aspects Of Your Day

I want you to think about:

  • How do you want your perfect day to look?
  • What would it actually look like to you?
  • What time of day do you wake up?
  • What is the first thing you do in the morning?
  • What is the last thing you do before you go to bed?
  • What do you want to create every day?
  • Who do you want to hang out with every day?
  • How do you want to feel every day?

Keep these thoughts in mind when you create your perfect day schedule.

Think about it as your itinerary for having the world’s best day.

What would you be doing to have the perfect day?

Start with that in mind, write it out and put it down on paper.

My Personal Story Of Being Overwhelmed

I’m going to do the exact same thing because my life has dramatically changed.

In addition to being a dad, I’m also running an entrepreneurial business, while managing a couple employees.

To be 100% honest, this combination has been a little overwhelming for me.

Based on this, I need to get back to having more structure in my life and my business.

I believe structuring my perfect day is really going to help, so I’m looking forward to doing this.

Hopefully you will do it as well.

Schedule The Important Things In Your Day

Whatever is important to you, schedule it in.

For example, start scheduling your:

By doing this you will be less likely keep forgetting and missing it, which ultimately leads to giving up on it.
