On today’s vlog episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing my Sunbasket meal kit review, as well as a step-by-step cooking recipe showing you how to make Steak With Roasted Sweet Potatoes.
In Live Lean Life Vlog Ep. 022 I share:
For today’s workout, I went to Fit Athletic Club in downtown San Diego.
Before hitting my workout, I did some foam rolling on the gym’s outdoor balcony.
The view from the balcony is amazing.
You can see directly inside Petco Park, which is the stadium where the San Diego Padres play baseball.
In other words, if you love baseball, you could come in for a workout on the balcony, while watching the baseball game.
The flooring on the balcony is similar to the turf, except it is black, and it’s approximately 15 yards in length.
Unfortunately it is not long enough to do sprints, however at times, I’ll start at one end and practice my explosive sprint starts out of the gate, then jog to the other end.
All in all, it’s a pretty cool little spot to train outdoors.
Today’s Exercises:
We received a delivery from one of my favorite meal delivery companies, Sunbasket.
I absolutely love getting healthy meal packages, with fresh ingredients, sent to our front door.
In this Sunbasket meal kit we have ingredients for the following recipes:
All these ingredients come in a cooler bag with ice packs.
Therefore, if you are not home when the meal kit gets delivered to your front door, the food will stay cold and safe.
The ingredients for each meal are also organized into separate paper bags.
This makes the meals quick and easy to prepare since all the ingredients are together in one bag.
All you need to do is take the bag out of the fridge, then prepare it by following the given recipe.
If you bought all of these ingredients separately, it would definitely add up in price.
However, since Sunbasket only provides you with the exact amount of ingredients, in small quantities, they won’t go to waste or spoil in your fridge.
Let’s check out some of the provided organic ingredients for all 3 of these meals:
Even though the sweet potatoes looked small, from a portion perspective, they were the correct normal serving size.
At the grocery store, most the sweet potatoes are huge, which confuses people into thinking it’s one serving.
Based on the size, you can tell these sweet potatoes are organic.
They are way different than the huge GMO’d sweet potatoes that won’t even fit into your hand.
This is how fruits and vegetables should look.
I’m so excited because all these delicious meals looked good.
For the first meal, we decided to make the “Steak With Chimichurri And Harissa-Roasted Sweet Potatoes” recipe.
The ingredients look good, but I bet it’s going to taste even better.
Here’s the full recipe.

That food was absolutely delicious.
Since Jessica and I are entrepreneurs and parents, we don’t have a lot of time to go out to the grocery store anymore.
Fortunately, we now have access to a meal kit delivery company, like Sunbasket, to provide us with organic food directly from the farm, delivered right to our front door.
It’s so much fun picking and cooking the delicious meals with your husband or wife.
While making the food, Jessica and I crack a bottle of wine and play some music.
It’s also a great activity if you’re single and you want to impress your date with your cooking skills.
Sunbasket is hooking you up with $90 off across your first 4 deliveries, plus 1 free gift, and free shipping when you order today.
Here’s a link to get started.
It’s time to impress that special someone in your life by cooking them a delicious dinner like this.
I’m telling you, you will be rewarded, wink wink.
Go order the same type of foods that we are eating directly from Sunbasket.
It’s absolutely delicious, which is why they are one of my favorite companies that we work with.
We highly recommend it.
While mommy was out getting her exercise, I was Kyla’s personal trainer during her tummy time and rolling exercises.
Kyla asked me to share her workout performance, and all my coaching tips, on my personal Instagram and Snapchat.
Here Were A Few Coaching Cues:
If you missed seeing it, she did it.
Kyla can do anything she puts her mind too.
After the workout I sang Kyla our song:
“Kyla Jane, Kyla Jane.
Does whatever a baby can.
She cries and poops.
Screams and yells.
She rolls over.
Like a baby can.
Look out.
Here comes Kyla Jane.”
