Listen to the post, How Do You Deal And Keep Up With Social Media?, on our Live Lean TV Podcast. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast!
On today’s episode of the #AskLiveLeanTV show, we’re answering 7 of your questions, including how do you deal and keep up with social media?
Before we share our answers, it’s our pleasure to welcome you to the first episode of the rebranded version of #AskBGTV, now known as #AskLiveLeanTV.
You’ve asked us to come back with a longer form Q&A show, so here we go.
If you are new, #AskLiveLeanTV is the show where we answer your questions directly on camera, when you post them on social media, using #AskLiveLeanTV.
If you want to be featured and have your questions answered in an episode, use #AskLiveLeanTV and post your question to any of our social media channels:
Tip: the best place to post your question is on Twitter, but don’t forget to tag us @LiveLeanTV, and use #AskLiveLeanTV.
We believe answering your questions on camera is a more personal approach, and provides a better experience, rather than just typing the answer back to you on social media.
Plus, you can see us talk through the answer, and you get to hear both of our sides of the story.
We’re so excited, so let’s get right into it.
Kelly Marie on Facebook asks:
“Hey guys, my question for you is: twice I’ve tried to completely eliminate sugar from my diet, eating completely lean. Both times I’ve had gallbladder attacks. The doctor told me that it was because it was too drastic of a change. While eating clean, the pain would come instantly after eating red meat, like steak. How would you gradually eliminate unhealthy foods when your body is completely addicted? Thanks.”

@FemkePointl on Twitter asks:
“How can I stay healthy when I’m on holiday for a month in Sri Lanka? Which exercises can I do? Any other tips?“

ciscoballs on Snapchat asks:
“Do we eat deer meat? What does venison taste like? What do we think about shellfish? Is shrimp good for weight loss?“

Bryony Miles on Facebook asks:
“Hi Brad and Jess! Great to hear you are coming back with the videos. I think the fact you are both so interactive with your viewers, and always respond to comments and questions I have had, has been a huge reason why I’ve committed to Living Lean with you guys! How have you found dealing with the following on social media, and keeping up with it all?”
Yeah this is great.
Shout out to Bryony, since she is also a Live Lean coaching client.
That’s such a good question because even though this show is called #AskLiveLeanTV, your questions do not have to be just about fitness and nutrition.
If you’re interested, we can answer questions about a lot of other things as well, including business questions, like this.
Since we are both entrepreneurs, and content creation is our full time job, social media is very important for us to be engaging with you, providing valuable content, and responding to your questions.
This is one of the reasons why we are doing this #AskLiveLeanTV show.
With that said, it is very difficult, and overwhelming at times, to keep up with all the social media content.
It does not stop.
It’s 24/7.
However, once you’ve done it for a while, you can get into the flow of it.
Once it becomes a habit, it does become easier.
If you’re getting too many notifications, you can turn them off, then decide when you are going to check them.
This is a good way to moderate how often we’re checking things because when you check your messages constantly, it can become overwhelming.
When it comes to social media, what I’m most psyched about lately is Snapchat.
Even though a lot of you may not be on it yet, it’s going to be the social media platform of 2016.
If you’re not on it yet, get on it now because it’s going to be the way to engage.
I’ve had to convert Jessica to Snapchat, because in the beginning, she didn’t love it.
When you post a piece of content on Snapchat, it disappears after 24 hours, which some creators find limiting.
However, the great thing with Snapchat is the content is so real, since you can’t photoshop yourself to make your waist look smaller or your butt look bigger.
This is good because a lot of stuff you see on Instagram may not be real.
We also like Snapchat for the realness and the face-to-face connection.
It’s almost as if you’re having a Facetime call with a family member, since it feels really close.
Based on this, we’ve both been loving it.
Each social media platform has their own benefits, pros, and cons.
Facebook is amazing too since there is no limit to how many words you can type.
This means you can post a picture, then elaborate with your words.
If you’re not following us on social media yet, here are links to all of our accounts:
Thank you for that question Bryony.
I want to point out that you are another person who is awesome when it comes to engagement, so thank you so much for that.
ryanslater21 on Snapchat asks:
“How do you get rid of armpit fat? I don’t have a lot of fat on me, but no matter what I do, it doesn’t go away.“

Gregg Palmer: @Palmerfamilyman on Twitter asks:
“Brad, what’s the best way to add calories to your diet?“

Nora Andersen on Facebook asks:
“Should I workout when I’m sore? I’m not referring to the kind of pain from a broken arm or anything serious like that. I am referring to the type of pain from having really sore muscles?
Check out the full post: Should I Workout When I’m Sore?
We’re going to cut it off here and call that an episode.
That was an awesome first episode, so thank you for all the awesome questions.
Keep them coming in.
I want to end every single episode with a question, so we get as much engagement from you as possible down in the comment section below.
Let me throw a personal question out there, because I love that it is playoff time.
If I seem a little salty today, it’s because I sat in front of the TV watching the Penguins and Raptors lose.
My question to you is, what team in the NBA are you rooting for to win the championship?
Type your answer below.
Since Jessica doesn’t care anything about sports, she can ask a question about your favorite nail polish during the next episode.
Please share this episode out and thank you for watching.
