On today’s food vlog episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing our most recent Thrive Market healthy snack food haul and unboxing.
In Live Lean Life Vlog Ep. 026 I share:
It’s another magical and wonderful day in Southern California.
Jessica and I took Kyla and our dog Bruno out for a long walk around the Embarcadero Marina Park North to see the beautiful boats and city skyline on the San Diego waterfront.
Since today is an off day for me from the gym, this long walk with the kids is an example of what I consider an active recovery day.
Kyla really enjoyed the walk, in her dreams.
During the walk, I asked Jessica if she had a chance to win any of the boats, would she take the boat or cash.
She said cash.
I agree.
Every one knows, if you want to get rich and keep your wealth, rather than owning a boat, just rent it whenever you want to use it.
Even though it was still mid November, the Christmas tree in downtown San Diego was already up.
I can’t believe this will be Kyla’s first Christmas.
When I asked her what she wants for Christmas, she replied, “I want booby milk.”
Since we went to my parents place in Canada for Christmas last year, this will be my second Christmas while living in the US.
I have to admit, I’m looking forward to another warm Christmas.
This is day two of having a black eye.
It’s still pretty red, so hopefully in a few days the redness will go down.
Kyla’s tough, so my red and black eye doesn’t seem to be scaring her.
We just received another healthy snack food delivery from Thrive Market.
For this delivery, we ordered a few different snack foods, as well as a few reorders from the previous order.
If you missed it, check out our first Thrive Market order review here.
We ordered this Julian Bakery Paleo Coconut Flakes cereal before, and enjoyed it, so we decided to order it again.
This is a nice healthy snack to have if you enjoy eating cereal.
If think cereal always has to be bad and unhealthy, check out the ingredients.
Julian Bakery Paleo Coconut Flakes Cereal Ingredients:
That is it.
Julian Bakery Paleo Coconut Flakes Cereal Nutrition Facts (per 30g serving):
This Go Raw Zesty Pizza Sprouted Flax Snax is one of the new snack items.
We haven’t tried these yet, but I’m looking forward to giving them a try.
We also ordered some Primal Kitchen Coconut Cashew Bars made with grass-fed collagen.
I haven’t tried these yet, but I’m excited to give them a try.
I showed you these Jilz Gluten Free Mediterranean Crackerz on the last Thrive Market order.
They were so good, we had to re-order them again.
10 crackers is only 100 calories with only 7 grams of carbohydrates.
This time we ordered the Tuscan style Italian Herbs, Lemon & Tomato flavor.
If you are a chocolate fan, we also picked up a few chocolate bars.
If you are going to buy chocolate, I always recommend buying dark chocolate containing 70%+ cacao.
When you are buying your healthy snacks from Thrive Market, you know you are going to get foods with decent ingredients.
I haven’t tried the Epic Chicken Sriracha Bar flavor yet, so I’m excited to try it.
I don’t really call them protein bars, since they are actually made of meat.
You may have seen these in the grocery store before.
Last time I checked they cost $4 each.
However, when you buy them in bulk from Thrive Market, you will get a better deal at approximately $2 each.
This is a perfect high protein snack to keep in your bag, or when you have a craving.
Unlike most protein bars which are “chemical bombs”, check out the nutrition facts and decent ingredients on this Epic Chicken Sriracha Bar.

We ordered these Julian Bakery Paleo Wraps again.
Kyla was excited to see these.
Once she is old enough, she will be making her sandwiches with these healthy wraps.
We also reordered the Julian Bakery Paleo Pizza Crust again.
As you saw in our last Thrive Market order, we loved this.
The pizza crust had an amazing texture and was so good.
This has become a staple.
We also were feeling these cacao nibs from Thrive Market.
We also got hooked up with another jug of Thrive Market coconut oil.
When we joined Thrive Market, we received a free coconut oil.
This is one of my favorite products.
At the time of this post, the current Thrive Market new membership promotion is free $60 gift.

The last item from our Thrive Market order was a jar of marinara sauce to make homemade pizza.
This time we will make the paleo pizza with no cheese.
You always ask us what we snack on.
Well, in addition to the good snacks shared in our Live Lean 20 Diet system, these are the kind of snacks we have when we don’t want to cook a meal.
Some of these snacks are new and some were on reorder, since we’ve already tried them.
Once again we are going to try these new snacks out, and if we like them, we are going to keep reordering and getting it delivered to our front door from Thrive Market.
It is a freaking awesome service.
Wouldn’t you feel better snacking on delicious foods containing these healthy ingredients?
You can get all these healthy snack foods for 25-50% off at Thrive Market.

It’s Saturday night so we’re going to get crazy.
Not really.
Fortunately my black eye is looking a little bit better than was, however my shoulder is still healing.
Jessica is in the kitchen making and bottling up her world famous “Ranch Style” salad dressing recipes from her Fearless Foodie Cookbook.
It looks just like a traditional unhealthy ranch salad dressing that you would buy at the grocery.
However, this homemade ranch salad dressing is way healthier.

It’s the same price, you just get more.
I just grilled up a couple organic grass fed burgers.
We bought these frozen Don Lee Farms organic grass fed charbroiled beef patties from Costco.

Here are the macros for 1 patty.

(serving side: 1 patty)
We’ll add the burgers to the arugula salad and top with tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and ranch style dressing.
We already ate a bigger meal earlier, so we’re just making a smaller serving for dinner.
I guess you could also call it a snack.
I also grilled the burgers in bulk, so we stored the leftovers in a glass storage container in the fridge.
These leftovers will be a great snack.
Since we don’t have any red wine, I’m enjoying a beer with dinner.
We decided to go with a Pacifico Beer since we live so close to Mexico.
Romantic, I know.
I just added new lighting to our balcony.
While Kyla is rocking in her swing, Jessica and I are going to enjoy this salad on our candle lit balcony, overlooking the beautiful views of downtown San Diego.
Since my office is also connected to our balcony, I keep my kettlebell and jump rope out here.
When I need a break from work, I’ll come out on the balcony and do:
I love that I can use my balcony as a little workout area, in addition to being our grilling and seating area.
The city also has fireworks every Saturday night, so maybe we’ll see some fireworks.
Thanks for joining me, Jessica, Kyla, and Bruno for this yummy dinner.
Before we end the post, I asked Jessica to share one thing she is grateful for.
She said she could name a million.
The one thing she said she was grateful for was having dinner together with our family in our beautiful home.
Kyla said she was grateful for booby milk.
Bruno said he was grateful that his owners feed him meat and vegetables, rather than cheap processed dog food.
With that said, we’ll call it a night.
