On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, Jessica and I share our top 3 favorite cheat foods and cheat meals.
This was a question from #AskLiveLeanTV Ep. 010.
@CiscoBall on Twitter asks: Just for fun, what are both of your top 3 favorite cheat foods and cheat meals?
Let’s start with Jessica first.
It’s so hard to pick my favorite cheat foods and cheat meals, but if I had to pick, I’d say these are my favorite 3.
You know how I feel about cherry pie.
Even though I don’t have it often, cherry pie is for sure, one of my top 3 favorite cheat foods.
I love cherry pie so much that I freak out over it.
So if you want to send me a gift, deliver a cherry pie to me.
My next favorite cheat meal is pizza.
Specifically the pizza we get when we go back to visit Brad’s family in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
There’s this one pizza spot called Piatto Pizzaria.
The last time we were there was during the Christmas holiday in 2019.
It’s the best pizza place that we’ve ever been to.
The kid’s were even excited to eat there.
Having just one bite of that neapolitan pizza crust, which I sometimes call it the napoleon crust, was worth traveling over 3,500 miles.
It’s just the best.
So if you’re reading this and you live in Halifax, NS, Canada, go check out that restaurant because it is delicious.
And if you’re the owner of Piatto Pizzaria, nice job.
We seriously wish there was one in Southern California because we have not found pizza like that anywhere else.
If it’s not your cheat day, try this healthier homemade muscle building pizza.
So what other cheat foods do I like?
One cheat food that you are probably going to think is dumb is crackers.
I sometimes really crave Cheez-It crackers.
I don’t know what that is about 😂.
It’s such a dumb cheat food, but it’s good.
For me, I can bang my favorite cheat foods and cheat meals very quickly.
You probably already know this but obviously pizza is number one.
If there was any doubt, go check out this pizza eating challenge that Jess and I did.
I was on a roll with eating reuben sandwiches as a cheat meal for a while.
If you’re not familiar with reuben sandwiches, they are a grilled sandwich with sauerkraut and corned beef or roast beef.
However, recently I’ve kind of fell off a little bit from eating them because I haven’t found one that I liked.
Sometimes I find they are too greasy.
My last favorite cheat food would be Raisin Bran cereal.
Yes, I like Raisin Bran.
If you’re an old school follower, you would know one of my favorite cheat foods used to be Skor Dairy Queen Blizzards.
However, ice cream is now out for me.
Check out this healthy homemade protein ice cream blizzard recipe.
Whenever Jessica goes out for ice cream, I don’t even have to “reel myself” in to not get any.
I can easily say no to ice cream now because I just don’t crave it anymore.
When Jessica does have a craving for ice cream, a lot of time it’s for chocolate chip mint ice cream.
But I’m just like, “nah”, I’ll pass.
Everyone has their own favorite cheat foods and cheat meals.
So tell us in the comments below, what are your favorite cheat foods and cheat meals?
We’re curious if you have something unusual like Cheez-It crackers or Raisin Bran cereal.
Your cheat meal doesn’t have to be something that’s totally dirty.
It should just be something that you really enjoy eating, that is not macro friendly or necessarily the best every day food for Living Lean.
