Walk Away From Fat Once And For All

On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing the simple daily habit of how to walk more steps to burn more fat.

Walking is one of the easiest things we all can do in our daily routine, to burn more fat.

The concept of today’s video post came from an epiphany I had a few months ago, while I was walking home against the massive flow of people in the upper east side of New York City.

I also notice this a lot on the streets of downtown Toronto, as well.

Have you ever noticed the majority of people in cities, that don’t typically own cars, seem to be much leaner and in better shape, than the average population?

Now this is just purely an observation, and I don’t have any scientific research to back this up, but it seems to be true.

Walking More Steps Is The Simplest Daily Habit To Burn More Fat

But don’t get me wrong.

I’m not telling you to sell your beautiful 3 bedroom home in the suburbs to move to the city.

The simple key insight here is that people who walk more, tend to be more lean.

Incredibly insightful, I know.

However, if this is so obvious, why do so many people forget about this?

For example, people would rather:

  • jump into their car to drive 2 minutes up the street, rather than walking.
  • take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, rather than taking the stairs.
  • cram into the packed escalator, rather than taking the wide open staircase to the left.

I just want you to think about this the next time your buddy Jimmy, who lives 20 houses up the street, calls you over to watch the Broncos game.

Rather than going outside to jump in your SUV, walk there.

Or be that “weird” guy who takes the stairs at the shopping mall, instead of the escalator.

Starting today, make walking 10,000 steps a day, one of your daily fitness goals.

Walking Is Like Compound Interest

Just like compound interest, these small daily wins, like taking the stairs, compound day by day, thus creating an overall healthier and leaner you.

I know the concept of this video was a pretty obvious, but just think about it:

  • are you actually walking as much as you could be, daily?
  • when you are walking, are you walking really slow?
  • are you walking fast, as if you are late for a meeting?

  1. My gym is on the second floor of an office block and the majority of
    members take the elevator, I use the stairs as part of my warm up.

  2. I like the food that is being eaten and the workouts on a daily basis.
    Just reinforces what I have been doing for years. The daily vids are great
    and it shows that consistency in all facets of life is key. Not just
    exercise, but food prep, cooking, work and day to day stuff. Great stuff
    guys.

  3. Yo brad love u guys great meal and workout ideas but I wanna see more food
    hauls n recipes can watch the other channels for the IFYM thing and the pop
    tart eating lol

  4. I’m right there with you Brad, I mean just look at China most people there
    ride bikes, here in the United States we all drive cars and look at the
    difference in our compositions.
