On today’s episode of Live Lean TV, I’m sharing my thoughts on what happened to our YouTube channel.
First of all, if you are a new or a longtime subscriber of our Live Lean TV YouTube channel, make sure you keep reading to the end of this post.
So here’s the deal.
Based on the success of a few of Jessica’s posts, some of you may not even know who I am.
Well, I’m Brad Gouthro, Jessica’s husband, and the initial creator of our Live Lean TV YouTube channel.
In fact, I uploaded my first random YouTube video back on February 7, 2011.
Who remembers that Lemon Water post?
But it wasn’t until Mar 23, 2012 that I officially turned our YouTube channel into a branded show called, Live Lean TV.
Over these 7 years, I went from making no money, being divorced, and essentially a lost soul, to where I am today.
I’m happily married to Jessica, who if you didn’t know, that relationship started out as a simple one time video YouTube collaboration.
This then turned into Jessica coming on as a full time host of Live Lean TV, as well as us getting married, and having 2 amazing kids.

So we’re full time entrepreneurs creating a lifestyle for our family that allows us to impact thousands of people all over the world.
However, I know we could be impacting even more lives.
So since I consider each one of you as a stakeholder in our Live Lean Transformation 1,000,000 mission, I’m going to be completely, 100% transparent with you.
From 2012-2016, our Live Lean TV YouTube channel was growing much faster, from a subscriber and video views standpoint, compared to the past 2 years.
For example, here are some quick stats.
Well based on the YouTube algorithm changes, a lot of you have reached out to me to let me now you’re no longer receiving notifications of our videos.
As the leader of our Live Lean Transformation 1,000,000 mission, I need to adapt and find new strategies to work with the algorithm, so we can continue to bring more value to you.
I’m still open to ideas, so if you have thoughts, I’d love to hear them in the comment section below.
However, based on the ideas that I currently have, things are going to get more interactive, and you’re going to win a lot more stuff.
If you know me personally, you know I a very determined guy, that is dedicated to helping you become another one of our Live Lean success stories.
So here is what Jessica and I are going to do, moving forward.
For the near future, every new vlog that we upload on Monday’s, we’re going to select two winners.
We’re going to hook up those two random winners with something of value, whether it is:
Based on our YouTube analytics, 87% of our video views are coming from people who have not subscribed to our Live Lean TV YouTube channel.
So if you’re reading this right now, and you haven’t subscribed to our Live Lean TV YouTube channel yet, do it right now.
Once you subscribe, you’re already entered to win.
We’ll randomly select one current subscriber to win on every new Monday vlog.
Then we will announce the winning username during the vlog.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To win, you must be watching the vlog to see if your username appears on the screen. If you see your username appear on the screen, you must leave a comment on that video to claim your prize. If you’re not watching, you will not be notified, as we don’t have your contact info. So to win, you must be watching the vlogs.
Tip: turn on your YouTube post notifications so you never miss your chance to win.
So to get started, today I’m randomly selecting one subscriber of our Live Lean TV YouTube channel to win.
If your YouTube username is BECKA GP, you just won a copy of Jessica’s brand new program, Pull Up Babe.
Again, if this is your YouTube username, leave a comment on this YouTube video, so we can confirm that it is your username.
Once you do that, we will get you set up with the Pull Up Babe program.
It’s going to be that simple.
So subscribe to our YouTube channel right now, and turn those post notifications on.
When we get more engagement on our videos within the first 60 minutes after uploading, this tells the YouTube algorithm to send the video out to more people.
The more people that see the videos, the more impact we can make with our Live Lean Transformation 1,000,000 Mission.
So to enter, all you need to do is comment and Like all our new Monday vlogs within 60 minutes.
The odds are definitely with you on this, so again, make sure your post notifications are turned on, so you can be notified as soon as a new video is dropped.
Then simply click the like button and leave a comment within 60 minutes.
Speaking of comments, one type of comment that really helps give us feedback, is the “clip it” comment.
When there is a clip in one of our episodes that really resonates with you, simply comment the time stamp of that clip.
For example, if you loved a clip that spanned from 0:45-1:30 mark of the video, post that time stamp in the comments.
This is amazing feedback to us.
Based on the comments from our interactive #AskLiveLeanTV Q&A series, you want more.
Well, back in 2012, I started filming the original Q&A series called #LLTV.
I know a lot of you may not have been around then, so I’m going to start re-uploading quick, single answer clips from these throwback videos, to our Live Lean TV YouTube channel on Thursday.
If you’re not familiar with our current #AskLiveLeanTV Q&A shows, this is a fun show where Jessica and I take your questions and answer them on the show.
Your questions do not need to be just related to:
Your questions can also be related to more personal stuff.
We’re an open book.
This is why we also open to answering more personal and fun questions such as celebrity crushes, most embarrassing moments, and why I’m afraid of clowns.
To get your questions answered, we post a weekly “Questions” feature on our @LiveLeanTV Instagram stories, requesting your questions.
So if you’re not following our @LiveLeanTV Instagram account, do it now.
Plus, here’s a little secret.
Although we have tens of thousands of followers on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, our YouTube subscribers have a special place in our heart.
So in your Instagram question, use #YouTube so we know that you are a Live Lean TV YouTube subscriber.
We’ll then try to give you preferential treatment.
New #AskLiveLeanTV shows air on Wednesdays on our Live Lean TV YouTube channel.
We truly appreciate you helping us grow our Live Lean Transformation 1,000,000 mission.
More updates on new features will be announced in the coming months.
Our Live Lean TV series on YouTube is entering its 8th year, and we’re not going anywhere.

what is the best time to do the exercise- #LLTV
Time doesn’t matter. Exercise whenever you have time my friend.
#LLTV My son has ADD and I worry that if he doesn’t get enough protein his symptoms will get aggitated. He is almost 16 years old so he has some of his own veiws about food. Usually it isn’t the protein but the sugar/carbs. He does like pizza, bagels and pasta. I’ve gotten the whole wheat pasta but he doesn’t really like the texture. Do you have any suggestions for new or modified foods that a teenager with ADD may like and want to eat. I prefer to make the snacks instead of pre-packaged stuff.
